Puff pastry, also known as pâte feuilletée, is a light, flaky pastry, its base dough composed of wheat flour and water. Butter or other solid fat is then layered into the dough. The dough is repeatedly rolled and folded, rested, re-rolled and folded, encasing solid butter between each resulting layer.  This produces a laminated dough and during baking, gaps form between the layers left by the fat melting.

Join Chef Dan as he walks you through how to make puff pastry from scratch as well as taste a couple of sweet and savory recipes using the puff pastry dough.  You will take home the puff pastry that you make.  This class will be 3 hours long.

After welcoming each guest, our chef talks about our company’s history, covers kitchen safety, and explains how the class will work.

Guests are divided into small groups to work on different components of the meal. Our chef provides one-on-one instruction for the tasks at hand. Throughout the class, the chef makes sure that everyone’s questions are answered and the meal prep is on pace.

Once the food is prepared, the meal is served as a buffet. Guests serve themselves and enjoy the meal together in our dining room.
